Veteran radio sales exec launches online advertising booking platform, My Radio Rates

My Radio Rates, a service billing itself as a one-stop shop for radio advertising, has launched.

The service was launched by founder and CEO of radiocommercials.com.au Darryl Durrant and offers automated placements of advertising across all Australian metro and regional commercial radio stations along with the Australian Traffic Network.

“My Radio Rates is an accelerated experience – you can have limited knowledge of buying radio and immediately you have access to relevant information to make informed decisions. This includes which station is the best demographic fit for your audience, plus what shifts rate the best,” said Durrant.

“From experience, we understand that finding the right person to email or speak with at a station can be daunting for even an experienced media planner, buyer or trader. Instead of making multiple contacts to book a campaign, you can jump online 24/7. This turn key solution and time-saving process is something busy clients and radio buyers will find attractive.”

The service’s features include the ability to see all the stations in a national, metro, state or regional market and book commercials in any time zone based on the station’s audience and demographics.

Durrant said he has seen the need for commercial production to move from seven days’ notice, to mere hours. “My Radio Rates will take what took hours or even days to plan, book and buy, and turn that process into just minutes to complete.

“The time poor environment we live in has had a compression effect on the speed that most businesses need to be on-air. Booking of radio air time combined with the current short-term buying nature of clients has meant the development of digital innovation in the radio market – we’re bringing radio campaign planning and booking well and truly into the digital age.”
