WrightsPR takes on Springboard Enterprises Australia

WrightsPR has taken on Springboard Enterprises Australia, a non-profit business accelerator which connects women innovators with investors and influencers as a pro-bono client.

The announcement:

WrightsPR is supporting women in business through new pro bono client Springboard Enterprises Australia, a non-profit business accelerator, which connects female innovators with investors and influencers.

The inaugural Australian program includes eight of Australia’s most promising women-led companies in bio-tech, retail-tech, marketing, green property, hi-tech and design.

Wrights General Manager Lauren Zammit said the firm was pleased to lend its expertise to help Springboard increase the number of successful women-led businesses in Australia.

“During our 25th year in business, Wrights sought to identify a pro bono client with values similar to our own. With a track record of supporting women in business, Springboard fits the bill and we’re very pleased to contribute to its success,” she said.

“Wrights is in the business of helping our clients reach their goals sooner and our team is excited about working with the inspiring women in the 2013 program as well as the coaches and mentors volunteering their skills,” Ms Zammit said.

Springboard Enterprises Australia recently launched its unique transpacific partnership with Springboard Enterprises to give Australian women entrepreneurs access to 500 women-led companies and an expert network which helped women raise more than $5.6 billion in financing.

More than 80 per cent of Springboard US’s companies are still in business, including ten IPOs.

Springboard Enterprises Australia Chairman Wendy Simpson said the local organisation was set to replicate the program’s success in the US.

A recent study commissioned by Google explained how Australia could add $109 billion to the economy and create 540,000 additional jobs by boosting the entrepreneur community.

“Engaging with the nation’s investment and business community is integral to our success and Wrights will help us communicate to all key stakeholders in the economy,” she said.

“Springboard is an amazing joint Australian and US community where entrepreneurs, investors and industry experts come together to build great women-led businesses. There are many entrepreneurs with successful business models and what they need is introductions and access to coaches, mentors and funding to take them to the next level.”

Wrights joins other key business groups like Grant Thornton, Westpac, Commercialisation Australia, Investec and Bloomberg who are working together to strengthen Australia’s women entrepreneurs.
