Thought Leadership Series | Diversity in Leadership
This half day Masterclass introduces senior marketers to the brain’s limbic system and how it drives peoples reactions, perceptions, decision-making and behaviour. Over the past 10 years, insights from behavioural economics have changed our understanding of how our brains make decisions. While we may like to think we are rational, science shows that our brains are driven by emotion.
Understanding and managing the forces that impact our decision making can help mitigate their influence, and help us make better decisions. This has important implications for customer satisfaction, leader effectiveness, stakeholder relationship and many other aspects of the business.
On completion of this masterclass participants will be able to
– Understand the nine different limbic states (elephants) that influence decision-making, habitual behaviour, triggers for conflict and resistance to change.
– Build upon and expand partipants’ existing skills and knowledge using a brain-based approach to leadership development
The strength of this Masterclass is it translates recent insights from neuroscience and behavioural economics into a framework that helps leaders identify and understand their own ‘elephant’ (and the other elephants within their team), and provide practical tools that enable them to manage both personal and team conflict, resistance and unconscious bias.
