2016 Brookes Oration

TOPIC: Gender equality and diversity

The annual oration honours the significant contribution of Sir Wilfred Brookes, grandson of Alfred Deakin, the second Prime Minister of Australia after whom Deakin University is named.

The Brookes Oration was established by the Deakin Business School in 2006 to encourage thoughtful debate about the contribution of corporate Australia in the global community.

This year’s oration, Gender equality and diversity, will be delivered by Lieutenant General David Morrison AO (Retd), former Chief of Army, champion of human rights. Lieutenant General Morrison was awarded 2016 Australian of the Year for his commitment to gender equality, diversity and inclusion.

The Oration is open to the public and admission is FREE.
