Intel asks people to combine their favourite two things
A new competition asking people to design a combination of their favourite has been launched by Intel.
The campaign, created by Australian creative agency The Monkeys, launches on Thursday.
Intel consumer marketing manager Claudine Pache said the campaign has been in development since December and expects school and uni-aged people will be the biggest demographic.
“We wanted to highlight the brilliance of the Ultrabook Convertible and we felt the best way to do that was to encourage people to think of what else they’d like to put together,” she said.
“The campaign has been teased on Facebook and we’ve already had some wacky suggestions – like an ice-cream maker/chair, but I’m not sure about the practicality on that one.”
Among the suggested teaser “2-in-1” inventions are a popcorn maker/TV and a hot tub/pants.
Sketch artists will draw suggestions throughout the competition, which ends on March 28.
Intel will give away three Ultrabook Convertibles based on Facebook Likes, and three based on innovation.
One winner will be picked and turned into a prototype invention with a budget of $25,000.
Love this!

Very cool. Be interesting to see how they use the final prototype. That’s often where campaigns like this fall down.

Crowd-sourcing!
How ever did they think of that??
Next, they’ll be doing a flash mob. Followed by a ‘viral video’ 😉
