Seven dominates Thursday night TV in Married at First Sight’s absence
Thursday night’s OzTam ratings saw Seven easily dominate the night with the news, My Kitchen Rules and the Winter Olympics topping the charts as the three most-watched shows for the evening.
Married at First Sight’s absence gave Ten an opportunity to shine, with Ten’s Gogglebox the ninth most-watched show with 649,000 metro viewers.
Ten’s I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here! finished eleventh behind Seven’s Home and Away, with an audience of 581,000.
Nine’s best rating non-news program was RBT at 15th with 471,000 viewers.
Seven and Ten shared the honours across demographics 16-39, 18-49 and 25-54. The Olympics came first in each segment, while MKR, Gogglebox and I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here! came second, third and fourth respectively.
Of total share, Seven scored 42.5% of the audience, with 28.2% tuning into the main station and 7.9% to 7mate for the Olympics coverage. Nine only just edged out Ten for the night with the two network’s main stations grabbing 13.8% and 13.6% respectively, with 20% and 18% for the network totals. The ABC attracted 14.6% and SBS 5%.
