Ensemble appoints new senior staff, announces new business wins

Ensemble, the branded entertainment specialist, has made a number of appointments to strengthen its management team.

The announcement:

September 21, 2011: Branded entertainment specialist Ensemble has recently won new assignments and taken on several new senior staff as clients increase their investments in branded entertainment as part of their media mix.

Justin Ricketts, managing director of Ensemble Australia, said the business had grown from two people at its launch 18 months ago to now having 14 full-time staff and a diverse client list.

Ricketts said new assignments for Ensemble have come from marketers including The Australian Defence Force, Microsoft, Unilever, KFC, Meat and Livestock Australia, Bunnings, Nova, Hyundai and Panasonic. As a result, several new senior executives had been added to Ensemble.

Matt Cameron joined Ensemble as account director. He was formerly working as a key project director at Jack Morton Worldwide.  Nereda Merrin has joined as a strategy director.  She was previously director of sponsorship and experiential marketing at Momentum and Matt Wheeler has also joined Ensemble as a strategy director after previously working as associate strategy director at UM.

“Our client assignments are highly varied and range from experiential activations through to the creation of new brand-inspired television formats,” said Ricketts. “Clients are becoming increasingly interested in seeing their brands become part of media programming and events, to support paid placements in traditional and online media.”

He said that Ensemble was working on new research into the value and impact of branded entertainment for Australian marketers. The research is expected to be available towards the end of 2011.
