Greenpeace ambushes ‘Can’t’ campaign

Greenpeace is the latest brand to piggyback the ‘Can’t’ teaser campaign, with a full-page tactical press ad in News Limited’s free commuter newspaper mX.

The ad highlights what could happen to the Great Barrier Reef as a result of the expansion of Australia’s coal mining industry.

The green activist group follows ANZ and Heritage Bank in ambushing the ‘Can’t’ teaser, believed to be by CommBank.

Greenpeace has also used the Can’t culture jam on its Facebook page.

It also bought Google key words to attract traffic to Greenpeace’s ‘Can’t’ landing page.

Greenpeace yesterday launched an attack on fast food brand KFC, which it is pressuring to stop using paper supplied by a timber firm known in Australia as Solaris.
