Magnum & Co launches business offering to help brands with social responsibility

Communications agency Magnum & Co has launched a new business offering to help brands integrate social initiatives into their businesses.

Managing director of Magnum & Co, Carl Moggridge, said the new offering, called ‘Make Good Things Happen’,  will help brands bridge the gap between social good and profits.

The new offering will centre around cultural research conducted by the agency

“Magnum & Co’s mission is to help clients better understand culture so they can do things that change things and we’ve been developing a good business practice for some time,” Moggridge said.

“With such a challenging start to the year, now more than ever feels like the right time to launch ‘Make Good Things Happen’ formally. It’s about wanting to do better, whether that’s culturally, environmentally, economically or at a category level, and how we can help bring improved business practices into the world.”

At the centre of the new offering is cultural research projects that will provide insights into how consumers’ values will shift over time, and how brands will need to realign their business practices to meet these expectations. Magnum & Co has already gathered insights from a range of experts, from a futurist to a sex therapist, for a report about what life might look like following the COVID-19 pandemic.

Moggridge anticipates consumers’ behaviour and values will change as a result of COVID-19, providing an opportunity for brands to reconsider their social responsibilities.

“In the last 12 months, a significant number of our clients have asked us to help launch social initiatives and we’ve started working with an increasing number of sustainable businesses.

“As a result, we felt the time was right to launch a dedicated offering that works for integrated clients or across specific service lines, whether that be earned media, digital marketing, content creation or influencer marketing. People’s values and therefore their behaviours towards brands will fundamentally change as a result of COVID-19,” Moggridge said.

‘Make Good Things Happen’ will also assist clients in communicating their initiatives to customers, stakeholders and employees.

Earlier this week it was announced that Magnum & Co had won the public relations, social media, digital and earned media for Queensland Strawberries. Last month the agency was appointed to L’Oréal’s influencer account for its consumer products division, which includes brands Garnier, L’Oréal Paris, Maybelline New York and Essie.
