Michael Cassel Group brings publicity back in-house

Theatre production and live entertainment company Michael Cassel Group has announced it will bring publicity back in-house.

Director of publicity, Nathanael Cooper took to LinkedIn on Friday morning to announce the news.

“I’ve had the extraordinary pleasure of working with incredible agencies over the last 18 months but with so many incredible shows about to launch, and so much more bubbling away in the background, it was time to have all our publicity functions under one roof,” he wrote.

Joining him in the in-house publicity team is senior publicist Tammy Hofbauer (formerly of Sony Music Australia), Jordan Lide as publicity and marketing coordinator, and Felicity Clifford, who will step into a publicist role in July.

“Michael Cassel let me hand pick the team I wanted to tell the stories of our shows and this is the most incredible group of storytellers,” Cooper continued.

Michael Cassel Group is currently working on multiple shows, including & Juliet, Hamilton, Titanique, Dear Evan Hansen, MJ The Musical and Beetlejuice.

“With & Juliet playing now, Hamilton in Singapore and about to return to Australia, Patti LuPone about to hit our shores, Titanique preparing for its maiden voyage down under, Dear Evan Hansen premiering hot on the back of that, MJ turning Sydney red next year and Beetlejuice in Melbourne from next May (and that’s just the things we can tell you about!) we have a lot of stories to share and we can’t wait to tell you them,” he wrote.

Cassel described the team as “incredible”, finishing the post: “Let’s cook up some mischief.”
