OPR announces new business wins: Mardi Gras, JDRF and Bubs Australia

OPR has announced a series of new business wins, including appointments for its health agency, Life, and brand agency Pulse.

OPR has been named the strategic communications partner for the Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras, assisting the organisation in developing its positioning and narrative as the event evolves in the future.

OPR has won several pieces of new business

The agency has also brought on Business Events Australia as a client, following the win of Tourism Australia’s PR account last year, and a project for Electrolux to launch its ‘A Better Living in 2030’ campaign.

The campaign will ask the next generation to submit ideas for a better tomorrow, which will be incorporated into Electrolux’s products in 2022. OPR’s remit, in partnership with Ogilvy Singapore, will cover launch support, content development, media relations, and on-boarding key opinion leaders to engage and encourage participation.

Meanwhile, Life has been appointed to lead strategic development and execution of campaigns for JDRF, a non-for-profit Type One Diabetes research and support provider.

JDRF head of marketing, David Leahy, said: “From the outset OPR combined an understanding of our brand and objectives with creativity and a passion for the project. 2021 represents one hundred years since the discovery of insulin and we look forward to working with OPR to leverage this milestone to move the needle for the 120,000 Australians who live with Type One Diabetes.”

The account will draw on capabilities across the OPR network, including creative, social and PR.

Lastly, Pulse has won a competitive pitch for baby formula company Bubs Australia, becoming responsible for supporting the launch of new products and initiatives.

OPR CEO, Richard Brett, reflected: “What a year it has been. It has been challenging for everyone in the industry, but like many agency leaders, I have been so inspired by our team who, despite working from home for most of the year, are continuing to deliver strategic thinking and innovative ideas. We are looking forward to the new year and telling our client’s stories in the most effective and innovative way imaginable.”
