MantraMantra Group names new creative partner

Hotel chain Mantra group has validated McCann’s recent push into the Queensland market, appointing the agency’s Brisbane operation to handle its Australasian account.

The group, with 127 hotels across Australia, New Zealand, Indonesia and Hawaii, is driving a new international positioning for its brands.

McCann will develop a new creative and strategic position for the group.

Mantra group executive director of marketing and digital, Matt Granfield, said the company wanted to build on its existing strengths.

“McCann Queensland understands the strategic vision we have for the next phase in the journey of our brands and we are confident in this partnership to realise our vision,” Granfield said.

“This is an exciting time of growth and development for Mantra Group and the ongoing drive for the internationalisation of our brands, while building on our strength in the Australasian market.”

Edge picks up three new clients

Content agency Edge Melbourne has won three new Victorian clients following the appointment of new managing director Dan King in April.

The new clients include Save the Children, Australian Drug Foundation and Pearson Australia.

These new business wins add to Edge Melbourne’s existing client base, which includes clients such as Australia Post, Australian Unity, Securepay, ANZIFF, and Australian Super.

King said: “We know that one of the biggest challenges that clients are facing now is delivering a content-rich personalised customer experience. All the clients that we are working with and talking to are at different stages of that journey. Our experiences in navigating this with our publishing heritage and knowledge of digital strategy and data is proving invaluable to the market here in Melbourne.”
