Podcast One digital content director Jaime Chaux to join Commercial Radio Australia

Jaime Chaux, the former head of digital audio platforms at Southern Cross Austereo’s PodcastOne, will join Commercial Radio Australia as head of digital in March.

Chaux worked with CRA on secondment in the development of the industry-wide RadioApp, which launched in late 2016.  Chaux’s previous roles with SCA have included head of digital audio content as well as stints as music director at Sydney’s 2Day FM and SAFM in Adelaide.

“Jaime is highly regarded in the industry, having worked on initiatives in streaming, podcasting and DAB+ digital radio,” said CRA’s chief executive officer Joan Warner. “He will help us drive commercial radio forward on all platforms and devices where our members want to be. We are very pleased to have him join our team.”

Chaux will be responsible for developing the industry’s approach and strategy across the digital space including the all-of-industry RadioApp, podcasting strategy and policy, social media, DAB+ content and other emerging areas of multiplatform innovation.

Chaux will also assist CRA’s DAB+ digital radio team, led by head of strategic development Kath Brown, to develop content initiatives for the organisation’s metropolitan and regional members.

“There are massive opportunities for commercial radio in a multiplatform future, and I’m enormously excited to join CRA and work across the industry to ensure that radio stays at the forefront of delivering great and innovative digital content to local audiences wherever they are and whenever they want it,” Chaux said.
