Rising Sun gets permanent presence in US market, plans original content
VFX vendor Rising Sun Pictures has appointed Marc Sadeghi as executive vice-president and head of business development and marketing, giving the company a permanent presence in the US market and working towards the long-term goal of developing original content.
“[Sadeghi] has been a strong and trusted partner to virtually every studio in Hollywood, and has an impressive track record for leading large teams of artists on complex and creatively demanding projects. We are very pleased to welcome him to the leadership team at RSP,” said CEO Michael Taylor.
According to Sadeghi, one of the long-term goals for Rising Sun Pictures is the development of original content.
“They have the physical resources to move into original productions, and, more importantly, they have the storytelling skills,” he said.
Sadeghi will work in forecasting, strategic planning and business development, heading the company’s worldwide sales effort and overseeing studio relations.
Sadeghi is a former executive producer for visual effects, and lead executive at The Orphanage.
