Rodger Corser and Silverchair ring in spring selling season for realestate.com.au

Spring selling season is just around the corner, and realestate.com.au have enlisted celebrated actor Rodger Corser and a classic Silverchair song to help explore the question, ‘what makes a home a home?’

Launched last night, the TVC will appear during key programming across metro, regional and catch-up TV nationally, and finds Corser walking through a series of Australian homes as Silverchair’s Straight Lines swells underneath.

While the messaging “highlights the valuable connection Australians have to their homes”, the campaign is focused on REA’s property valuation tool, realEstimateTM – and therefore more geared at sellers.

The campaign will also feature across outdoor and online display, radio, digital audio such as Spotify, online video including YouTube, and various social channels. It was driven by Brand+Story and produced by Elastic Group, with sound by ism Studios.

“We know spring is always a pivotal time for the property market, and as we head towards September, we’re already seeing strong growth in buyer engagement and enquiries,” said Sarah Myers, REA Group general manager – audience and marketing.

“Whether you’re buying, selling, or just curious to know what your home is worth, realestate.com.au is where more than 2.7 million Australians go every day to help decide their next move.

“As one of Australia’s most well-known brands, we’re thrilled to be able to work with great Australian talent like Rodger on our latest campaign.

“Being able to pair dynamic on-screen talent with an Aussie track as iconic as Straight Lines, is something that we’re really excited about.”
