ShopBack offers global brand refresh following Australian anniversary

ShopBack has announced a global brand refresh, with ShopBack Australia announcing cashback in-store promotion.

The announcement:

ShopBack, Asia-Pacific’s leading shopping and rewards platform, today announced the launch of the Group’s first global brand refresh across all its 10 markets in the Asia Pacific. Underscored by the new campaign – Feels Good – the brand refresh seeks to translate the small wins on ShopBack’s platform into an elevated shopping experience for all.

To illustrate the full suite of benefits that ShopBack provides, the Group’s rebrand will focus on empowering its shoppers to achieve small wins in their daily online shopping trips, aligning to the campaign proposition “Feels Good”.

“ShopBack believes in the power of small wins, applied consistently and continuously, and we work relentlessly to deliver smarter ways to shop and pay. We hope that the rebrand brings out this message more strongly to our shoppers,” said Lucy Chadwick, head of marketing. “As we continue to grow our network of partners and brands in Australia, we will continue to engage shoppers across multiple touchpoints, help partners gain visibility and sales, all the while supporting them in achieving their own victories through small wins.”

Launch of ShopBack In-Store

To celebrate the Group’s fourth anniversary, ShopBack Australia will be launching “ShopBack In-Store”, a feature that enables shoppers to earn up to 20 percent cashback on their bills at local dining establishments. This feature will first be launched in Sydney in August 2022, followed by Melbourne and Brisbane later in the year. Some of our eligible restaurants include Chef’s Gallery, Tapavino, ThaiRiffic, Subway, Coco Fresh Tea & Juice, Roll’d, and more. Shoppers can also enjoy$5 off their first purchase on ShopBack via a limited-time promotion.

“Over the past four years, ShopBack Australia has given $100 million worth of cashback to shoppers across the country. This massive achievement is a testament to the market’s immense growth potential and illustrates how shoppers in Australia are passionate about finding good deals,” said Angus Muffet, general manager at ShopBack Australia. “With our wide array of cashback and epayment solutions, shoppers in Australia can optimise their shopping savings with maximised convenience. We are excited to see more shoppers elevate their shopping experience with us in Australia.”

Cash Craze Campaign

In line with the rebranding, ShopBack Australia will run a three-day campaign event aimed at attracting new users. Beginning on 2nd August 2022, the Group will release supersized cashback rates to customers shopping with ShopBack. Customers can make the most of these offers while shopping at retailers such as eBay, booking.com, and more.

The global rebrand is the latest in a series of milestones achieved by ShopBack. The company drove US$3.5 billion in sales to 10,000 merchants in 2021, launched its ShopBack Pay service earlier this year, and raised US$80 million during a recent funding round in June. The Group also plans to deepen its product offerings and expand its financial services to more markets in the coming months.
