State of Digital Publishing launches new community platform, Seek An Audience

Digital industry focused online publication State of Digital Publishing has launched a new community platform, Seek an Audience, to help readers learn about audience development and content monetisation.

The announcement:

There is a new story waiting to break out every second, a new resource to be tapped on every networking platform and a new marketing tool to master every other week.

Unless media professionals, keep pace with what’s happening in the publishing world, they stand at the existential threat. Seek An Audience, which launched on June 1st, is a digital publishing and media community formed exclusively to serve this breed of professionals. The way Product Hunt is for the tech community.

Seek An Audience helps them learn, connect, collaborate and grow with their peers and vendors in audience development and content monetization.

Vahe Arabian, the founder of Seek An Audience says, “According to my research via LinkedIn, I found over a million publisher and editor profiles. Whilst there are many existing industry associations and peer groups, many are hidden and hard to access. The Martech landscape has also exploded in the past few years, with over 5,000 existing vendors. Having strategic interests with the ability to learn from others can speed up internal daily audience development efforts.”

Seek An Audience originated from State of Digital Publishing; an industry focused training & online publication but has gradually evolved into a larger concept to address the growing concerns of media and publishing professionals, including editors, journalists and audience development specialists. It empowers them to increase readership, share their learnings, increase internal resources, identify emerging opportunities, and reduce training on boarding and new sales from tech vendors.

Media professionals also struggle with the resource and knowledge gap or the ability to do certain technical elements effectively. Seek An Audience connects tech vendors with professional editors and publishers, in order to bridge this gap and engage in meaningful journalism in the age of fake news.

Depending on your level of access (contributor or author), the members can comment on key industry topics, ask questions, create and share their tool collections, like other social news sites, submit stories and follow users within a private community to develop high value connections.
