‘Straight talking, uncomplicated’ agency Bloke launches
Three former BWM staff have launched new agency Bloke.
Creative partners Tim Bloore and Mike O’Rourke will work with managing partner Matt Daunt.
Bloke’s foundation client is SuperIQ which deals in self managed super funds.
The agency is positioning itself around the line “deceptively simple ideas”.
O’Rourke said: “The name ‘Bloke’ reflects our philosophy that we’re straight-talking, uncomplicated and we get to a simple solution. We’re the mate who tells you what you need to hear.”
The trio are not far from their old BWM office on the second level of 44 Mountain Street in Ultimo. Bloke is on level one.

“Uncomplicated” Is that a bit like dumb?

Sounds like it’s in the actual BWM building. Is ‘Bloke’ a conflict agency by any chance?

Jeepers, you guys have guts.
“Uncomplicated” – you might want to think about that. We only make things more complicated so we can charge big bucks.

Stay tuned for the announcement of my new agency…”Vagina” where each client brief will undergo a planning process called “gestation” which will conclude in the birth of all new ideas that everyone will stand around and coo at.
The business cards are going to be amazing. Right????

Congratulations on taking the big step gents! I wonder how many of the nameless knockers above have had the balls to do the same? More support for brave people within our own industry can only help us all right?

Stand by for my new agency launch – “Cock”. It will start off slow, building to a massive release of creative ideas before finally deflating and shrivelled up, a shadow of its former glory.

I understood that Rocky. Still doesn’t excuse the sexist positioning. And if they didn’t get that then they weren’t thinking hard enough. And people wonder why women talk about discrimination and sexism in this industry. A lot of it is from ‘blokes’ who don’t think through to how their ‘clever idea’ will come across to people who know that language and semantics are important components of communication.

seriously – they call their agency ‘bloke’ and that’s somehow sexist and degrading towards women? get a grip.
good luck guys – don’t let all the boring old haters complicate your positioning!
