Brisbane radio ratings: Nova’s Kate, Tim and Marty grab highest audience share of any radio show across the country
Brisbane’s Nova 106.9 FM has continued its dominance of the Brisbane market, led by the networked drive team of Kate, Tim and Marty, who saw their audience share climb to 21.7% – the highest share of any radio show show across the country.
The trio capitalised on the continuing drift of Brisbane listeners away from Hamish and Andy on Southern Cross Austereo’s Hit 105, which lost 2.6 points in the time slot to finish a distant second with a share of 12.5%, down from 14.9% the previous survey.
Nova’s success was replicated in the all-important breakfast slot, with Ash Bradman, Kip Wightman and David Lutteral – Ash, Kip & Luttsy – adding 2 points to grow their share to 14.8%.
Hit 105’s breakfast show Stav, Abby and Matt with Osher dropped 1.3 points to finish in a dead heat with Triple M rivals Greg Martin, Ed Kavalee and former 97.3 breakfast announcer Robin Bailey, who dropped 1.4 points to each finish with a share of 10.9%.
97.3 FM’s Bianca, Terry and Bob added 0.6 to finish with a share of 10.6%.
Nova won the overall ratings race with its share up two points to 15.8%. Hit 105 had more bad news with the station dropping from second to third, with its share down 0.5 points to 11%, while Kiis lost just 0.1 points to 11.3% to finish in second place.
Triple M dropped 0.6 points but held its fourth spot on the ladder with an overall share of 10.2%.
On the AM dial ABC Brisbane dropped 0.9 points in breakfast to finish with a 12.1% share in the slot, ahead of 4KQ, which was up 1.3 points to 8.6%.
Overall 4KQ won the AM battle with a share of 9%, ahead of the ABC with 8.8%. Macquarie Radio’s Talking Lifestyle 882 finished the survey with the lowest share of any station, down 0.1 points to 1.4%.
2 books establishes Dominance?
This is a great one off book, but Nova were 3rd FM in survey 1 haha.
