Lovatts Media launches magazine for puzzling with paid advertising
Australian puzzle magazine publisher, Lovatts Media, has launched a magazine which combines puzzles with lifestyle women’s content, and will offer paid advertising for the first time.
Known as Audrey Daybook, the new magazine is published by the Lovatts Media team, who produce more than 30 magazine titles, including puzzle titles Christine’s Big Crossword, Crossword & Puzzle Collection and Cluewords, and the recently launched masthead, Breathe Magazine Australia.
The bi-monthly magazine launch marks the first time the publisher will offer paid advertising in a magazine, which Kirsty Tamplin, senior account manager, said was about recommending brands that people know and trust.
“We are entering the world of on-page advertising. However, our advertisers are our partners, with brands that we know the Audrey reader will want to engage with,” she said.
However, Lovatts Media has said the advertising will be kept to a minimum, to ensure continuity and flow.
Audrey Daybook will be sold for AU$9.95 and contain seven chapters – Thrive, Share, Nest, Glow, Nourish, Create, and Explore – which will feature articles and puzzles.
The content will combine puzzles with articles about women and how they’ve changed their lives, as well as ‘healthy lifestyle philosophies’, and art projects.
According to a release, the company believes readers will want and pay for quality, bespoke content such as Audrey Daybook, as it “adds value to their lives”.
Rachael Northey, Audrey Daybook magazine’s publisher and CEO of Lovatts Media said she was inspired to create a publication she wanted to see on magazine stands.
“We wanted to celebrate intelligent, wonderful women, as both the subject of our editorial content and as the reader. Audrey is exactly as we dreamed it could be – beautifully luxe entertainment for curious and discerning minds. Smart never goes out of style,” Northey said.
The magazine will be on sale from Monday September 4, across newsagents, Woolworths and Coles.
