Clemenger BBDO wins Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade’s Smartraveller account
The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) has awarded the creative account for its Smartaveller platform to Clemenger BBDO in Melbourne.
The decision was made after a competitive pitch, and the agency will be charged with rolling out a new campaign to make Smartraveller the go-to destination for any Australian travelling abroad.
In September last year, WPP AUNZ’s J. Walter Thompson (now Wundeman Thompson following a merger) won the brand strategy account for Smartraveller.
Clemenger’s three-year contract runs until 18 September, 2022.
Clemenger BBDO Melbourne’s deputy CEO, Simon Lamplough, said: “We’re thrilled to have the opportunity to partner with the Smartraveller team over the next three years. This win is recognition of our dedicated government communications capabilities being led and grown by Julian Bell, our national government lead.”
In January, Clemenger BBDO Sydney won Austrade’s creative tender to develop Australia’s ‘nation brand’.
