TV station C31 rebrands with ‘We are Melbourne and Geelong’ slogan

Community TV station C31 has launched a brand campaign with the slogan ‘We are Melbourne and Geelong’.

Public relations firm Keep Left PR is behind the rebrand, which includes social media activity including Pinterest, as well as TV sponsorship and PR.

The rebrand focuses on the role the station plays in providing a voice for local content and local talent.

The activity follows research C31 commissioned to better understand the perceptions and attitudes of its audience.

Richard McLelland, GM of C31 said in a press release: “Our extensive research identified that while consumers support the idea of community television and what it stands for, more needs to be done to communicate C31’s value proposition and increase viewership.

“We feel this new brand positioning encapsulates our place at the heart of the community, and the valuable role we play in not only making the production of local and community content freely available via a broadcast platform, but also in providing a integral stepping stone for aspiring local producers to become the next wave of successful Australian content-makers.
