Aussie Olympians among July’s fastest-growing TikTokers
Olympians Tina Rahimi and Ruby Pass and Western Sydney hip-hop duo Cult Shφtta’s are Australia’s fastest-growing TikTokers in July, according to Fabulate data.
Iranian-Australian boxer Rahimi drew millions of views for her behind-the-scenes videos of the Paris Olympics, including her leading an Aussie Aussie Aussie, Oi Oi Oi chant at the Opening Ceremony.
She has been documenting her behind-the-scenes training, Olympic Village food choices and videos of her exploring Paris in ‘a day in the life style‘ posts.
17-year-old Queensland gymnast Ruby Pass has also been sharing glimpses of her experience in the Olympic Village in recent posts, causing a surge in traction from TikTok users.
In the music scene, hip-hop duo Cult Shφtta topped the list of YouTubers following a jump in their following and engagement amid a Thailand tour.
Each month, Fabulate uses data from its Discovery Platform to help marketers and agencies uncover the best up-and-coming Australian creators on TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube.

Fabulate’s head of strategy and talent, Lucy Ronald said: “For the first time in Olympic history, we’ve got full access to real-time behind-the-scenes of athletes’ experiences at the Olympics thanks to platforms like TikTok.
“Both Tina and gymnast Ruby Pass were among the fastest growing creator accounts, with Australians wanting to follow their journeys on social platforms.”
Rahimi’s video following her defeat to Poland’s Julia Szeremeta has been watched by over 1.2 million people, while a post by Pass about competing garnered 346,000 views.
“In July, Cult Shφtta managed to see their follower counts on multiple platforms soar. In the case of Cult Shφtta, like many musicians, they are really driving a YouTube Shorts strategy whilst also building a TikTok following of more than half a million followers.”
