Beerfarm on the hunt for Australia’s most dedicated ‘BeerSitter’
National beer brand and indie brewery, Beerfarm, is giving a beer lover the chance to win a year’s worth of its Hazy Pale brew via a two day livestream.
The 48-hour visual stream will track a selection of the brewery’s latest product as it journeys from the Nullabor in Western Australia to New South Wales.
To win, the brewery requires viewers to sit down and watch stream, allowing the former to see who can stick it out the longest and officially crown the nation’s top ‘BeerSitter’. Throughout its run, codewords will appear on the screen, requiring watchers “to scan the QR code, submit the words, and stay engaged for their chance to win.”
The initiative was inspired by ‘raw-dogging’ – a trend that saw airline passengers concentrate on nothing but what was in front of them – typically flight maps – for hours on end.
“For the first time ever, we’re sending a truckload of our Hazy Pale fresh from our farm in Metricup, further than it’s ever journeyed before,” said Beerfarm’s innovation and new product development manager, Charlotte Freeston.
“As it embarks on its epic trek as it crosses the country, we’re calling on the nation to keep an eye on it. We can’t wait to see who steps up as the ultimate BeerSitter.”
Taking place from October 23-25 on video platform, YouTube, the stream will also provide participants with opportunities to connect with each other and engage with a “few surprises” while tracking Hazy Pale’s road trip.
The journey will see Beerfarm made available for purchasing at bottle shops, online and local pubs. The product’s first on-premise activity is expected to occur on November 1 at Bondi’s Beach Road Hotel.
