Biutiful

Thanks to Madman, we have passes for Alejandro Gonzalez Iñarritu’s Biutiful.

Biutiful was snominated for Best Foreign Film, representing Mexico, and Best Actor in a Leading Role – the intense Spaniard Javier Bardem. It’s a confronting story set in the world of illegal immigrants in Europe. Bardem plays Uxbal, a man living in a permanent contradiction, both helping and exploiting Africans and Asians who are trying to build a new life in an unwelcoming Barcelona. When Uxbal learns his days are counted, he must find a way to make peace with his inner demons, and ensure that his children are protected.
