Ellis Jones launches new brand

Melbourne-based integrated marketing and communication agency, Ellis Jones,  has launched a new brand, social impact practice and website.

The announcement:

Melbourne-based integrated marketing and communication agency, Ellis Jones, today officially launched a new brand, social impact practice and website. Principal, Rhod Ellis-Jones, says that, five years after first opening its doors, the agency knows why it has succeeded.

“I feel like I’ve gone through my early 20s all over again: you’ve got all the courage and creativity but no idea how to channel the madness.”

“We have always been ambitious. You don’t deliver end-to service with a small team unless you love realising concepts in practice.”

“An artisan brand like Ellis Jones survives by thinking differently, but not so different that no one knows what you’re on about.”

The agency designed and developed its new website. It matches uber functional navigation with a collage of imagery in a design aimed at providing a compelling visual narrative that doesn’t confuse the statement of competencies.

After investing heavily in the development of shared value practice models for almost three years, Ellis Jones launches a social impact practice. It applies the agency’s Research as Engagement and Social Thinking models. Ellis Jones establised the influential Shared Values Project forum in 2011.

“PR-led corporate social responsibility is dying a rapid and celebrated death. Society demands and needs more substance in 2013.”

“We work with business, CSR, sustainability and NFP leaders who know that finding opportunities for creating social and economic value is deeply transformational for businesses’.

According to a new Nielsen study, 50% of global consumers are willing to pay more for goods and services from companies that have implemented programs to give back to society.

Staff debated a new agency tagline for almost a year before settling on ‘People Talk’. With diverse services, competencies and intellectual capital under one roof, the team had to find a statement that was a window into its purpose, not its work.

“Think about it: when people don’t communicate – talk, transact, dance, collaborate – nothing happens. No innovation, no progress, no magic.”

“No matter if it is research, design, public relations, brand identity, social media campaigns or website development, our success relies on people talking.”

“People Talk is fundamental to human life. And we do it particularly well.”

Ellis Jones has initiated a conversation on Twitter using the hashtag, #peopletalk.
