Jasmine Zwiebel exits Coles for comms role at RACV
Jasmine Zwiebel has left Coles as its senior communications and media manager.
Zwiebel departed the supermarket giant to join RACV – the Royal Automotive Club of Victoria – as its manager of media and communications.
Zwiebel joined Coles seven years ago as the company’s communications manager of operations, a role she held for more than two years.
During her time at Coles, she also held positions as the brand’s internal communications manager, consumer communications manager and spokesperson, and most recently as its senior communications and media manager.
In February last year Coles appointed Mango to handle its consumer public relations account.
Coles Liquor is still reviewing its creative account which is currently held by AJF Partnership.
Zwiebel’s new role at RACV comes just weeks after the brand moved its creative account from JWT Melbourne to CHE Proximity.
Zwiebel and Coles have been approached for comment.
That’s very interesting, given that RACV Executive General Manager Kevin Ramsdale outsourced the communications function about 12 months for operations reasons due to the need for “scalability”. Let’s see if he is on the money this time bringing comms back into the fold. I wonder, was it the exorbitant fees of consultants that was the initiative’s undoing, or the realisation that some aspects of brand, reputational ad and crisis comms are best handled in house? Nevertheless, better luck this time, Kevin, and, of course, Jasmine.
