Account Director

C7EVEN Communications is a full-service marketing and communications agency located in Tamworth and Sydney, NSW. After several years of solid growth we are looking for an exceptional Account Director to join us in taking the agency’s offering to the next level.

C7EVEN is seeking a dynamic Account Director to join our growing client service team within the agency. We are a small, agile team and we always work to get the best results for our clients. We are looking for someone with proven sales experience in growing new and existing client revenue, who is committed to working collaboratively to develop strong communication and marketing solutions for clients and someone who can lead and manage a client service team to achieve outstanding results. In essence our ideal candidate will need to:

RESPONSIBLITIES
• Develop a strong, trusted and respectful relationship with each client
• Gain deep understanding of our client’s businesses and deliver over and above on projects
• Demonstrate a sound understanding of the rural and regional landscape in particular agriculture and agribusiness sectors
• Anticipate potential threats or opportunities and communicate any risk and scope issues
• Mentor and train direct reports in all aspects of account management
• Build and nurture great working relationships with the wider agency team
• Efficiently plan and prioritise own work and the work of the team
• Organise and manage project resources and ensure tasks are completed within project scope, budget and timeframe using agency software
• Drive measurement, monitoring and tracking for campaign analysis
• Prepare accurate project budgets and oversee job profitability outcomes
• Identify and lead agency response to pitch and tender opportunities
• Be responsible for identifying opportunities to both improve account profitability and client growth
• Be responsible for developing new business opportunities from new clients
• Deliver monthly revenue forecasts and budgets

This role requires someone with a minimum of eight years of experience in senior account management, leadership, project management, and business development within an agency environment. To succeed you will have:

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Strong and strategic ATL, TTL and BTL experience
• Agency experience (minimum 8 years)
• Ideally a degree or qualifications in communications, public relations or marketing
• Excellent communication and team/resource management skills
• The ability to facilitate conversations and negotiate with senior clients and company directors
• Strong business development skills and winning sales or pitch strategies
• Experience with opportunity profiling, cold calling, generating referrals and leveraging relationships for prospecting
• Digital knowledge: web, email, mobile and emerging digital media
