Creative Studio Operations Manager

ABOUT THE ROLE

This position is responsible for the overall operations of the Sydney Opera House Creative Studio. There are 2 main components of this roles:
• Management of the day to day operation of the Creative Studio, including the strategic and tactical workflow management of all creative briefs through studio using a creative project management tool, budget management, and resource management.
• Manage internal and external key stakeholder relationships around project delivery, contract negotiations, and supplier briefings and to ensure the delivery of high quality and innovative work.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
• 6 – 8 years’ experience in creative project/ operational management positions either within an agency or in a client side environment.
• Outstanding organisational, traffic and project management skills with demonstrated experience in trafficking and monitoring the workflow of campaigns, including use of traffic/ project management software (use of Workfront ideal).
• Strong stakeholder management skills, and some experience in managing others.
• Strong business acumen and exceptional relationship management and communication skills.
• Proven success in high velocity operational management.
• Demonstrated experience in leading the allocation and distribution of work, to deliver commercial level volumes of work, preferably across multiple environments, e.g. in-house and external agencies simultaneously.
• Knowledge of Adobe CS suite and Microsoft suite of programs.
• Thorough understanding of the creative process and print production process.
• A keen interest and knowledge in cutting edge digital tools and technologies.
• Proficient in budget management and forecasting experience.

2. As a temporary contract a key requirement of this role is to hit the ground running. This would include gaining understanding of existing processes and workflows, building relationships with both Creative Studio team and wider stakeholders. Please describe your approach to your first few months.

EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS
Job Status: Temporary, Full time (Maternity leave cover role, ending 30 June 2020)
Position No: SOH1437
Salary: Base salary of $89,299 per annum, plus 9.5% superannuation contribution.
