Digital Marketing Campaigns Specialist (Part time – 3 days per week)

AFTRS is Australia’s Screen and Broadcast School, established to fuel and empower Australian creativity and storytelling. AFTRS is consistently rated as one of the top film School’s in the world.

We are looking for an experienced Digital Marketing Campaigns Specialist to join our team.

You will work closely with other members of the diversely skilled marketing team to develop strategy and tactics across Google Adwords, social media, EDM, third party platform native media and other campaign types. You will also work specifically with the admissions team to update them on leads and share information to achieve revenue targets.

Creating written content that can be sent to third party publishers and used across AFTRS marketing platforms is essential. An understanding of SEO and the role it plays in content driven marketing is essential. You’ll need to develop traffic acquisition and data capture strategy to make the most of your efforts in this area.

This is an exciting new role working within a highly creative and engaged team, reporting to the Marketing Campaigns Manager.

Selection Criteria


1. Proven success in a similar role. You will be able to point to market growth and conversion rates on projects you have worked on.
2. Proven track record of writing and budgeting marketing plans with a focus on PPC campaigns.
3. Demonstrated ability to create, manage, and iterate PPC campaigns, based on results, to identified and targeted audiences using a range of tactics including retargeting, and targeted audience creation.
4. Demonstrated experience of managing external PPC agency suppliers, particularly with the aim of running individual campaigns which fit into an established budgeting and reporting structure.
5. Demonstrated experience with analytics and CRM platforms especially an ability to create reports and extract actionable insights based on those reports.
6. Demonstrated skills in creating high quality written content for distribution across owned channels and third-party channels.


1. Understanding of and passion for the arts and creative industries.
2. Experience in a not-for-profit, educational or arts organisation.

This position is open to all Australian citizens or Permanent Residents and is advertised as a 1 year fixed term contract, with the possibility to become ongoing.

Salary: $66,481 – $70,411 (dependent on experience) plus excellent benefits package. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required.
