Digital Marketing Coordinator – Video (Part Time)

ABOUT THE ROLE

Digital content creation, social media, community management and distribution are integral elements of the digital marketing strategy, enabling Sydney Opera House to connect and create deeper relationships with new and existing audiences. This role is responsible for assisting the Digital Video Manager in executing and advancing the digital video strategy in collaboration with the broader team. You will assist with daily management of our video channels, including content creation, optimisation, community management, distribution, reporting and analysis. The role requires a blend of art and science – the ability to balance the creative side of marketing with the analytical side.

To be successful in this role, you will need excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritise your work load in a fast paced, dynamic performing arts environment. You will be creative with plenty of ideas and a passion for video and digital content.

This role will require significant collaboration with Sydney Opera House Engagement & Development Portfolio. You will also be required to collaborate with external production companies, agencies and platform partners.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• Up to one year’s experience in managing video, website and social media channels and campaigns.
• Experience and interest in video and digital content creation – shooting and editing skills are desirable but not essential.
• A strong understanding of the digital marketing channel mix and the functions, content requirements and success metrics of each.
• Some knowledge of social and video analytics platforms such as Facebook, YouTube and Brightcove.
• Strong written communication skills and proven abilities in pitching and developing ideas .
• Degree in marketing, communications or a related discipline.
• Passion for the digital industry coupled with high awareness of digital trends and best practice.

EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS
Job Status: Temporary, Part Time (12 month contract, at 4 days per week)
Position No: SOH1429
Salary: Base salary of $46,703 per annum pro rata, plus 9.5% superannuation contribution.
