Graphic & Digital Designer

Greenwich Colleges is looking for a Graphic and Digital Designer who will control and manage our digital and print design output. You will be responsible for our branding, our design style guide and our internal and external content design.

You will pioneer and our design strategy; including the planning, creation and editing of a broad range of projects – including brochures, text books, posters, infographics and images.

You will be responsible for driving the creation of our design content to bring to life the culture and identity of Greenwich College. Projects will have a strong element of student centricity and aim to captivate and engage our students and partners with our marketing materials.

You will represent both Greenwich English College and Greenwich Management College through these channels to bring best practices and innovation to the company.

Key Responsibilities
• Create and control all elements of GWC branding, materials and online presence
• Ensure brand integrity and consistency in print materials across GWC
• Create and enforce branding guidelines
• Work with the Marketing team to determine the objectives and constraints of design briefs
• Create design concepts, through sketches and illustrations, that deliver against the marketing communication plans
• Undertake research with our students to analyse marketing and sales communication requirements
• Negotiated design solutions with the Sales and Marketing team, Teachers and Senior Management
• Assist in the production of promotional material, brochures, guides and video production
• Maintain a resources library, documenting each design production
• Support marketing, academics and student services with content, infographics processes, promotional updates and modifications.
• Assist with creative social media images
• Produce and/or manage production of visual content such as videos, photos and infographics to share the stories of each college units
• Design and implement a communications strategy/calendar for industry updates and promotions
• Tasks are diverse, difficult, and complex, requiring a very high degree of original and independent thinking and the ability to meet deadlines.
• Expertise in design packages such as Photoshop, In Design and supporting software.
• Liaise with external print vendors to obtain quotes print brochures and fliers
Accountabilities and Performance Measures
• Work with Global Sales Manager to Design and produce all GWC printed collateral
• Work with key members of other departments to support their needs for the creation of print materials

Environmental Job Requirements
• This position may require interstate travel
• To work within and help to foster our positive and supportive company culture and environment
• Ability to be flexible and have good time management skills
• Strong cross-cultural communication experience or the ability to communicate with people from non-English speaking backgrounds

Key Technical Skills and Experience
• A relevant Bachelor Degree and at least 2 years of relevant work experience
• Relevant design and digital qualifications or equivalent working experience
• Experience within a similar industry is preferred
• Highly proficient with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, In-design, After effects and premiere)
• Proficient with PowerPoint and Prezi Editorial experience
• Demonstrated ability working with print marketing campaigns
• Basic HTML knowledge
• Understanding of Typography
• Native-speaker level in both spoken and written English
• An organised self-starter who is also a strong collaborator
• Demonstrated Problem-Solving ability
