Group Strategy Director

The Haus is a unique collective of five agencies fuelled by a shared central resource and driven by a shared vision of creating game-changing work for our clients.

Our agencies include Hausmann, Health Haus, Illuminate, Banter and GROUND, with clients across the group ranging from big blue chip brands through to disruptive start-ups.

We are looking to meet a brave, forward-thinking individual who can help to drive the strategic and creative output of the businesses and contribute to a culture which fosters unique, collaborative campaigns within and across our agencies.

The Group Strategy Director will sit on the senior leadership team, guiding the strategic and creative function for the group and working in collaboration with each agency to produce best-in-class work.

We’re looking for a curious and creative problem solver who can critically break down brand and business challenges, while also empowering and guiding teams and individuals across The Haus to apply strategic rigour to their own planning.

This position reports directly into the CEO.

As Group Strategy Director at The Haus you will:
· Get hands-on with strategic planning, uncovering key insights and developing strategic platforms and pillars that can guide creative thinking
· Run client workshops to help our marketing partners uncover strategic and creative opportunities
· Lead brainstorming and guide team members to develop strong ideas
· Inspire those around you to want to come to work every day to learn, grow and give their best
· Work with senior agency team members to uncover proactive opportunities to solve business and brand problems
· Manage, train, mentor and nurture a core team
· Support agency teams’ own planning and ideas

What we are looking for:
• Someone with a minimum of 10 years’ experience in a strategic/ creative role
• A hybrid thinker – part dreamer, part scientist – with a solid understanding of brand and communications strategy
• Genuinely passionate about and interested in the innovation space
• An empathetic leader who understands how to get the best out, and for, their teams
• A strategic thinker that can distil a brief into a core barrier, insight and brand opportunity, helping guide teams to come up with the best creative solution
• Someone with an understanding of earned media (ideally with some experience working in or with PR agencies)
• A strategic doer that isn’t afraid to get their hands dirty, whether it be running a focus group, observing consumer behaviour, building a big idea or putting together a presentation
• An organised self-starter able to manage their own time and that of their team in a fast-paced environment and across a breadth of challenges and demands
• A well-rounded human who doesn’t take themselves too seriously!
