Head of Product Development

This is the job we all wished we could have when we grew up! Combine your passion for toys, entertainment and play with senior commercial responsibility in this Product Development Lead role, in a world-class Marketing agency delivering products for the global market.

Heading a small team, your role is to conceptualise, create and deliver new and innovative products in the promotional and toy space. With a keen eye on the latest cultural moments and zeitgeist, you’ll identify new opportunities as well as working on BAU projects for ongoing clients. The product range is diverse – it could be a licensed character branded drinking cup for a cinema chain through to a high tech toy sold at a major retailer. Working across a mix of B2B and B2C channels, and you will be creating products for worldwide distribution. The role involves extensive stakeholder management and project management skills, and you’ll work with Creative, Licensing, Manufacturing, Logistics and Sales specialists, leading the process end-to-end. With a deep understanding of financials, you’ll ensure that all projects deliver strong commercial outcomes, and you’ll need excellent negotiation, analytical and planning competency. The role is at a senior leadership level and reports through to the Head of the division.

To succeed in this role, you’ll need at least seven years background in product development, working with overseas factories. You must have had strong exposure to the toy/promotional product/entertainment space, and be tapped into current consumer and retail trends. With strong creative and design instincts, you should have a track record of delivering profitable results.

This agency offers a fun, dynamic and exciting environment, and their efforts in nurturing staff and looking after their welfare have won multiple awards. With an international network of offices and suppliers you’ll have vast resources at your fingertips. There is an emphasis on collaboration and cooperation, and lots of opportunity for long-term career progression in this senior leadership role. Great day-to-day perks on offer too. Located in an inner-city suburb with great cafes and shopping on the doorstep.

A wonderful opportunity to unleash your playful imagination and build your career at the same time!
