Marketing Assistant

The Marketing Assistant is responsible for supporting the Marketing team across all aspects of Marketing including but not limited to Digital Marketing, Social Media, events and Content Production.

As the Marketing Assistant you will work across social media, content, partnerships, social impact, digital marketing, e-commerce, event, public relations and reporting

Key responsibilities

  • Work with the Marketing team to ensure the day to day trading of all websites are in line with budgeted sales;
  • Drive sales, conversion, and revenue by effectively merchandising products helping customers navigate to the right product quickly and easily
  • Manage the upload and SEO optimisation of Products to online
  • Assist the creative team on co-ordinating creative campaigns for photoshoots, TVC’s etc.
  • Ensure the way content is managed for the website has our customer at the forefront;
  • Manage the deployment of digital content across websites, EDMs and offline campaigns;
  • Ensure relevant brand guidelines are adhered to ensure the website and E-Marketing communications maintain and accurately portray the brand;
  • Proactively research ways of improving site usability, conversion optimisation and customer journey to enhance online performance.
  • Support the Marketing team using our CRM and optimising and segmenting campaigns based in customer purchases and behaviour
  • Stay on top of Marketing trends, competitors and industry best-practices.
  • Work with the design team in the creation and publishing of campaign content for digital platforms.
  • Offline support will be required for events, pop-ups and other Marketing activities as required
  • Develop creative social media ideas and design social media strategies in line with the Marketing plan across global markets channels
  • Supporting our partnerships and social impact program
  • Work with the Marketing team to maximise Social Media brand collaborations
  • Develop the content plan and write the blogs, that means great copywriting skills!
  • Manage, create and publish original, high-quality shareable content
  • Administer all company social media accounts across each market and brand ensuring up-to-date content
  • Liaise with the marketing team, agency and designers to ensure content is informative and appealing to our audience in all media, collateral and digital sites.
  • Community management on our social channels
  • Proactively monitor closed groups and forums for opportunities
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Product development teams to create social ‘buzz’ regarding new product launches and days of importance.
  • Monitor our brand’s share of voice and brand sentiment
  • Stay up-to-date with new digital technologies and social media best practices and ensure our brands are at this forefront
  • Organise briefs for influencers that may cross over from the PR function
  • Co ordinate PR samples and Influencer requests
  • Marketing team admin

Specific Responsibilities

  • Develop creative social media ideas and design social media strategies in line with the Marketing plan across global markets channels and work with the Marketing team to exceute these
  • Work with the Marketing team to maximise Social Media brand collaborations
  • Manage and oversee the growth of our podcast
  • Develop the content plan and write the blogs, that means great copywriting skills!
  • Manage, create and publish original, high-quality shareable content
  • Administer all company social media accounts across each market and brand ensuring up-to-date content
  • Liaise with the marketing team, agency and designers to ensure content is informative and appealing to our audience
  • Manage the execution of content for USPs on social
  • Community management on our social channels
  • Manage Third Party review sites, Facebook reviews and direct messages through these sites such as Google My Business, ProductReview.com.au to ensure our brand reputation is maintained in a positive manner
  • Manage our soon to be launched closed group
  • Proactively monitor closed groups and forums for opportunities
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Product development teams to create social ‘buzz’ regarding new product launches and days of importance.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly reports on web traffic and ROI on social
  • Monitor SEO and user engagement and suggest content optimization across social channels
  • Manage and monitor our brand’s share of voice and brand sentiment
  • Stay up-to-date with new digital technologies and social media best practices and ensure our brands are at this forefront
  • Organise briefs for influencers that may cross over from the PR function
  • Report into and work with the Marketing Manager to achieve business goals and outputs
  • Finding and implementing creative, unconventional and cost-efficient channels to build customer base and grow the business
  • Creating and executing on marketing strategies which may involve content marketing, building channel strategies, experimenting with different growth methods
  • Identifying channels to test, running tests, perform customer/audience segmentation analysis, develop social media presence and find ways to optimise these channels
  • Experiment and iterate your ideas to find effective ways to reach potential and existing customers
  • Use your gut instinct to create growth strategies, experiment and use data to test
  • Drives engagement at each level of the funnel
  • Support the marketing team with planning, implementing, and monitoring marketing campaigns
  • Assist with the production of marketing materials and collateral
  • Help organize and coordinate marketing events such as consumer and media events, pop-ups, and trade shows
  • Evaluate data and create reports on key metrics in order to monitor campaign efficiency and analyze trends
  • Write and edit content for different platforms such as social media, website, and press releases
  • Provide administrative and project support for a variety of marketing programs

Qualifications & Competencies Required

Skills & Experience:

  • Previous experience in a similar digital marketing role
  • Understanding of web technologies – HTML, Shopify
  • In-depth understanding of google analytics, google search console and google tag manager with the ability to pull out key data sets.
  • Working knowledge of digital channels for websites, EDM (Klaviyo) and social media channels (paid and organic)
  • Basic understanding and knowledge of design principals.
  • Experience building EDMs from initial idea through to sending, tracking and reporting.
  • 1 or more year experience in eCommerce; demonstrated ability to learn new technologies quickly
  • Team Player. Ability to work seamlessly with partners across various departments, including Product, Marketing, Sales, Customer Service and IT
  • Technical experience with eCommerce, digital campaigns and online promotions
  • Exceptional communication and organisational skills

A Marketing degree.
Social media marketing experience.
