Senior Account Director – Retail Strategy & Innovation

The Why

Our client work with retailers across consumer insights, segmentation, market analysis and brand strategy. Creatively, their team spans a diverse set of disciplines from advertising to architecture and from digital to design. They all connect with a focus to produce work that delivers results for their clients in the Retail environment.

This is a newly created opportunity for an experience senior suit to join a friendly but of individuals winning awards and producing awesome work for their clients.

The What

Reporting to the Group Account Director, this role is responsible for retail project management and production; as well as quality control across a key portfolio of clients.

As the Senior Account Director you will be responsible for:

Inspiring, compelling and being authoritative with clients and partners, and are expected to build and maintain client relationships

Acting as a knowledge source for the business on how to drive creative partnerships and make business transformation happen

Constantly seek out ways to trial new thinking and technology with your clients, with the view that these will become case studies for how to create value and impact with clients

Ensure the commercial health of your accounts to actively contribute to the financial health of the agency, either independently or in conjunction with the Managing Partner.

Building great relationships with the agency leadership team and be a role model for everyone in the business, across communities

Act as a natural collaborator, being open to new and different ways of working

The How

You will have extensive experience in senior client services / marketing experience, which could come from a consulting, creative, or clientside. Your previous clients will make up a rich portfolio of retail and consumer focussed brands.

Demonstrate conviction, authority and utter clarity of thought

Have commercial desire for winning new business – both reactively and proactively

Have the ability to build strong relationships across a business – internally and externally – at all levels

Take a leadership view on what it takes to transform businesses and experience in leading most senior clients confidently through considerable organizational change

Have a strong understanding of brand, point of view on how it is changing and fluency in articulating the way consumers connect with brand, with an optimistic outlook for how it can shape work

Desire to challenge, surprise and stretch everyone around them – someone with the highest expectations of themselves and others

Challenge the status quo, looking for new ways to push work forward in line with the brief and to positively challenge the client

Ambitious for clients and optimistic about life
