Senior Account Manager (12 month FTC)

The role of Senior Account Manager will be based at the offices of BBC in McMahons Point, Sydney.

The role is a fixed term contract (parental leave cover – 12 months).

Role Purpose

A key contributor to the Australia and New Zealand sales team, the Senior Account Manager:

Delivers the sales revenue targets for the assigned area of responsibility across a suite of digital and broadcast media products.
Has a strong focus on new business development and is tenacious in their approach to the market, driven to uncover new opportunities and increase revenues across the BBC Advertising portfolio.
Demonstrates an entrepreneurial & creative approach to campaign planning and strategy, encompassing content marketing, cross-platform esp. digital and mobile, and data-led audience segmentation.
Manages end-to-end sales opportunities with the support of the wider BBC GNL Advertising team, and delivers compelling proposals and pitches to secure business.
Develops strong, trusted relationships with agency / client to maximise revenue opportunities and position the BBC as advertising partner of choice
Develops close working relationships with the ANZ sales team to maximise market coverage & knowledge, and deliver strong brief responses and revenue generating opportunities.
Provides accurate, regular sales updates and forecasts to the Regional Director on current revenue and the sales pipeline
Maintains a sound knowledge of the media industry and a comprehensive understanding of BBC Worldwide Advertising products and services
