Senior Digital Marketing Coordinator

Digital content creation and distribution are integral elements of the digital marketing strategy, enabling Sydney Opera House to connect and create deeper relationships with new and existing audiences.

This role is responsible for the co-ordination, delivery, analysis and optimisation of cross-channel digital marketing activity. A secondary component includes assisting the Website Product Manager, Social Media Manager, Email Marketing Manager and Digital Video Manager with the day to day management of each of their respective channels as and when required and providing insights around channel and activity performance.

The role requires a blend of creativity and data-driven analysis as you formulate and edit contextually relevant content, and analyse the results of specific campaigns, messages and overarching digital channel performance. The role requires an understanding of audience segmentation and targeting and the impact this has on channel, content selection and messaging.

To be successful in this role, you will need exceptional coordination and time management skills, the ability to manage and prioritise work-flow within our established channel processes whilst also being able to operate flexibly in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. You will have excellent written communication skills and the ability to quickly adapt to a broad range of tasks.

This role will require significant collaboration with Sydney Opera House marketing, Insights and Optimisation, public relations, brand, and sponsorships teams. You will also be required to collaborate with external agencies and platform partners. The role requires a passion for both Digital Marketing and the Arts industry.

• Experience with the Adobe Marketing Cloud including AEM, Adobe Analytics and Adobe Campaign preferred.
• Experience in email marketing campaign management and optimisation required.
• Proven experience with social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram and Twitter – including fan acquisition, campaign management and content creation.
• Experience with website or blog content management platforms (examples: AEM, WordPress, Drupal, Wix etc)
• Familiarity with website analytics (examples: Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics)
• A strong understanding of SEO and digital user experience.
• A strong understanding of the digital marketing channel mix and the functions, content requirements and success metrics of each.
• Familiarity with creative and video production processes.
• Communications experience, strong written skills and proven abilities in developing, sourcing and editing content.
• Knowledge of social measurement and monitoring platforms such as Simply Measured, Radian6, Local Measure etc preferred
• Strong analytical mind and sound experience with reporting and insight sharing
• Degree in marketing, communications or a related discipline
• Passion for the digital industry coupled with high awareness of digital trends
• Passion for the Arts and an intimate understanding of the breadth of programming at the Sydney Opera House.
• Fundamental understanding of HTML, CSS and or Javascript preferred.
Job Status: Fulltime, Ongoing (12 months)

Salary: Base salary of $57,859 per annum, plus 9.5% superannuation contributions
