Social Media Manager / Community Manager / Creative

Connecting Plots is looking for a Social Media Manager to join our rapidly expanding team in leafy Erskineville. We are at an exciting point in the business, and require a savvy and passionate, social media gun, to drive key accounts and help grow the offering.

What we’re looking for:

This role will require you to work alongside our Head of Social on key accounts, as well as supporting Creative team where possible on a variety of projects.

We’re looking for someone who has mastered the art of Social Media & Community Management and doesn’t mind getting stuck in to whatever the day may bring.

Key responsibilities:

As a Social Media Manager, your role will be multifaceted. Primary responsibilities include:

Dedicated point of contact for all activity related to social channels i.e. day-to-day client contact, hosting recurring WIPs, etc.
Development and management of channel plan / calendar based on aligned social strategy, including the execution of media spend and optimisation
Oversee timely response to ad hoc briefs and proactively seeking opportunities for clients .
Project management including, development of timing plans & scopes for creation of assets.
Internal comms incl. approvals, resourcing, briefings.
Posting and daily community management.
Monthly tracking of retainer and budgets.
Quarterly reporting and recommendations.
Working with Head of Social on strategies to grow clients through your intimate knowledge of their business.
Ability to problem solve and take on client challenges being solution focussed.
Ability to work with creative and autonomously to develop ideas, creative development and copywriting.

Skills & experience required for this position:

At least 2 years previous experience in a similar role.
Exceptional knowledge of social media & digital content marketing.
Proficient understanding of social analytics, reporting and media spend.
Proven experience project managing digital & social content campaigns, building & maintaining client relationships.
Proven ability to make effective decisions in challenging situations and/or under pressure.
Experience working in a highly collaborative environment with creatives, directors, writers, producers & project managers.
Proven ability to manage heavy workloads, prioritize work appropriately, and meet assigned deadlines; superior organizational skills (including attention to detail).
Excellent presentation and communication skills (written, verbal).
Design and editing skills (e.g. Apple Mac, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, After Effects)
Positive energy & attitude, love using own initiative & working autonomously
