Trade Marketing and Events Manager

This unique role has management oversight in the development and execution of trade marketing and events deliverables across the key Queensland markets covering Brisbane, Gold Coast and Townsville.

Working closely with the Executive GM Queensland and the National Events Manager, the role will be required to work with internal departments and external stakeholders to create and implement compelling, customer focussed events, entertainment and client lead activations, that focus on experience and innovation as well as drive key financial and brand priorities across the SCA business.

As our new trade Marketing & Events Manager, you will:

Work closely with internal departments to ensure the successful communication, creation and delivery of various SCA client, sales, network and other relevant events and tactics.
Work with the key Queensland team to manage the development and implementation of major client entertainment opportunities, in line with our brand vision.
Build key client relationships and overall customer experience with a focus on innovative, creative and original concepts.
Deliver a compelling Trade Marketing Plan across Queensland in conjunction with the National Trade Strategy.
Analyse market trends and work closely with sales team in matching our unique properties to market challenges and client needs.
Manage the end-to-end planning and delivery of key event operational areas for Queensland based events.
Lead cross functional event and trade marketing implementation working-group meetings and drive exceptional event outcomes.
Proactively manage and monitor improvement mechanisms that ensure optimal financial outcomes for the business.
Develop strong relationships with SCA key stakeholders including clients, venues, partners, contractors and agencies to ensure a streamlined delivery and joint outcomes are met.
Ensure all deliverables can be successfully executed within budget and are compliant with on air and online codes and standards
Attend various events when required, including some outside office hours due to nature of the role

To be an ideal candidate for the position, you will be a person who:

Maintains energy and motivation even when faced with set-backs or persistent problems
Constantly generates new ideas and comes up with creative solutions, aligned to the Trade Marketing Strategy 
Has an extensive knowledge of the industry and our competitors – is externally focused
Is degree qualified, with extensive experience in marketing and events coordination
