Mumbrella Travel Marketing Awards first entry deadline is today

The first round of entries into Mumbrella’s Travel Marketing Awards close today. Back for a second year with more than double the number of categories, the awards recognise the best in travel marketing in Australia and will be presented at a gala dinner at the Four Seasons Hotel in Sydney on April 12.

In response to feedback from last year’s event, the awards program has been extended to include 19 categories. While the first entry deadline is today, late entries will be accepted until Friday, February 9, at an additional cost.

New categories for this year include Best User Experience, Best Use of Face-to-Face/Experiential Marketing, Best Use of Data, Award for Innovation, Award For Bravery, Disruptor of the Year, Breakthrough Destination of the Year, PR Agency of the Year, Media Agency of the Year and Advertising Agency of the Year.

Last year’s event attracted 20 senior industry experts who served as judges. With the additional categories this year, the judging panel has expanded to over 30, with more sectors of the travel industry represented.

Winners from last year included Air New Zealand, Frank PR, Medium Rare Content Agency and Tourism Australia.

The awards are specifically designed to be simple to enter. Submissions are word limited and judges are instructed to judge entries based on their stats, facts and supporting material, rather than fancy entry designs and aesthetics.

You can enter through the portal here. The gala dinner and awards presentation follows directly after the Mumbrella Travel Marketing Summit with tickets available here.
