Barbecue to link brands with bloggers

Around 100 lifestyle bloggers are to be attend to what is claimed to be the biggest event in Australia of its type when they are hosted at a Bloggers BBQ.

The event is designed as a brand experience day where the bloggers will be introduced to companies keen to put their products in the bloggers’ hands.

The Bloggers BBQ, taking place in Melbourne on March 31, has been organised by marketing agency kidsbusiness.com.au.

Brands involved include Target Australia, Fressure Foods, Cottee’s, Lenard’s, McCormick Foods, Crayola, Hotmail, Nad’s, Britz Campervans and Ella’s Kitchen.

Targe’s acting GM of marketing Rennie Freer said: “We know that today’s shopping environment is changing and increasingly our customers are looking for exciting new ways to shop, whether it be in store, online or gaining knowledge and sharing experiences as part of our rapidly expanding social media community.”

Karen Marshall, marketing manager of McCormick Foods said:“We recognise that Mum has the power when it comes to the families’ purchase decision and online is increasingly becoming the first point of contact when searching for information. We want to get to know her, understand what is important to her and most importantly, listen.”

The event builds on The Bloggers Brunch which was also created by kidsbusiness.com.au.

Nine’s Livinia Nixon will hoist the event.
