F1 marketing and comms director Ellie Norman returns to the Mumbrella Automotive Marketing Summit lineup
Formula 1’s marketing and communications director, Ellie Norman, will headline the Mumbrella Automotive Marketing Summit in Melbourne on March 17.
Norman has been a major player in F1’s transformation of its brand and marketing strategy which has led to a democratisation of the sport, opening it up to new audiences around the world.
Appearing after the Australian Formula 1 Grand Prix, Norman, who has worked for Formula 1 for more than two years, will discuss her role in the transformation, the goals F1’s owners Liberty Media have for the sport and what role marketing and communications will play in that.
Norman has agreed to speak at the Mumbrella Automotive Marketing Summit in Melbourne after having to unfortunately withdraw from headlining the event in 2019 due to an unavoidable short-notice meeting in the United States.
Since then, Formula 1 has expanded its calendar to 22 races, Aston Martin has confirmed its entry into the sport as a works team in 2021, a second season of the Netflix F1 series has been confirmed and British driver Lewis Hamilton is in the running to claim a record-equalling seventh world championship.
Norman will join other key speakers on the bill including Amazon Web Services’ Toni Knowlson, DiDi’s Douglas Toy, Google’s Sean McDonell, Mercedes-Benz Vans Sabine Wagner and many more.
The Mumbrella Automotive Marketing Summit, Melbourne, takes place on March 17 at the Park Hyatt with early bird tickets available now.
