Hush exposes the reality (and unreality) of PR
Today’s Hush column in Sydney’s Sunday Telegraph is something of a PR industry newswire (not that there’s necessarily anything wrong with that).
Dr Mumbo’s favourite story is that Sweaty Betty PR has shot a pilot of a reality show for the Seven Network . Journos beware – your tantrums may be taped.
Mind you, PR agency Marketing Elements had less reason to be delighted to open today’s newspaper.
Hush says the agency tried to foist year-old snaps of swimmers Eamonn Sullivan and Stephanie Rice onto the paper by crudely Photoshopping Australia Day underwear onto on old picture.
How are the Sweaty Betty girls going to do a reality show without any apparent connection to reality?
