Sodastream secures Snoop Dogg for new holiday campaign

Sparkling water brand Sodastream has unveiled its 2020 holiday campaign featuring American musician Snoop Dogg.

The global campaign sees Snoop Dogg encouraging consumers to focus on the small but important things in life this Christmas season, through a humorous hero TVC.

The campaign, directed by Jake Szymanski with production by Jiminy Creative Tel-Aviv, spruiks the value of staying home and embracing the holiday spirit rather than making big plans.

“I believe the small things are the most meaningful,” Snoop Dogg says, before going on to make jokes about doing a little bit of baking.

The campaign also sees Sodastream deliver an ongoing environmental message when Snoop Dogg is joined by an animated sea turtle to highlight the reusable aspect of the product.

One reusable SodaStream bottle can save-up thousands of single-use plastic bottles from use, he tells viewers.

Sodastream global CMO Karin Schifter Maor said the goal was a campaign that was easy for people to relate to.

“At Sodastream we are always encouraging people to make a positive change. This year we really went all in to deliver a campaign everyone can relate to, a campaign on what’s important.”

“Sodastream is the ultimate small change to reduce single-use plastic waste, and Snoop Dogg is a great partner to help widely spread this message in a fun way.”

Snoop Dogg said he was happy to spread the love of a product that makes a “big difference in the world”.

“I love my SodaStream so it was natural for me to partner up with them for this campaign,” he said.

The choice to roll out the internationally-created campaign in Australia with Snoop Dogg as brand ambassador means the rapper will be seen both on SodaStreams campaigns as well as the ongoing Menulog campaigns.

Snoop Dogg has been part of Menulog’s Australian campaigns since April, having even released his own version of the Menulog jingle.

The rapper is known for his prolificacy in representing a wide range of brands globally.
