The Remarkables Group today announced two new Remarkables, bringing its stable of talent to 12 blogs.
The new faces are:
– Lorraine Elliott, Not Quite Nigella – www.notquitenigella.com
– Caz & Craig Makepeace, Y Travel Blog – www.ytravelblog.com
Lorraine Elliott is currently the No.2 female blogger in Australia (all categories) and has consistently been ranked the top food blogger in Australia. Her much-anticipated book with Penguin will be published in 2013.
Husband and wife team Caz and Craig Makepeace’s passion for travel and social media know-how has placed Y Travel Blog as the biggest independent travel blog inAustralia, and also built large communities across multiple platforms – including 3.5m followers on Pinterest.
Head of Relationships at The Remarkables Group, Lorraine Murphy says: “We’re hugely excited about the calibre of bloggers we’re announcing today – Lorraine, Caz and Craig are incredible talents in their respective spaces and we’re looking forward to creating some remarkable brand partnerships for them.
We have constantly asked brands and agencies in which areas they need more bloggers to support their campaigns over the last six months. Food and travel were the two areas that continually came back to us. Several of the Remarkables we represent write food and travel content, so there was anopportunity to add more niche bloggers to complement their blogs.”
In team news, Megan Aney recently joined the business as a Relationship Manager. Megan has focused over five years’ experience in social media, web and digital marketing on helping brands effectively communicate with their audience through blogger advocacy. She was a social media mentor to The Voice contestants and was shortlisted as one of Cosmopolitan’s Fun Fearless Females in 2009.
Megan has learned the value of relationships between blogs and brands by running her own style blog An Australian Wintour (www.anaustralianwintour.com) for the past four years. She saw the potential to connect her audience with brands looking to speak to consumers in a cluttered advertising climate and so is ideally placed to guide clients on best practice blogger partnerships.
