Core behind launch of ABC kids portal Splash
Sydney creative agency Core has won the launch assignment for ABC Splash, the broadcaster’s new online education portal for kids, teachers and parents.
Splash brings together the broadcaster’s best learning resources and content from the ABC and its partner, Education Services Australia.
The website, which launched today, will be an online hub for kids aged 3-10 years to search for educational content, and for teachers to tap into a library of videos, audio files and infographics to use in their classrooms.
“Splash is a very exciting new project that brings together a huge catalogue of world-class learning content. Through our partnership with Education Services Australia we’re providing Australian families and teachers with a powerful collection of digital assets,” said Angela Clark, director of ABC Innovation.
Core has developed a print and digital campaign which will run across consumer and education media channels.
Christian Finucane, Core creative partner said: “As a dad of three young children I know this is a project that holds genuine value for all Australian families. The ABC plays a key role in educating our kids in the stories, facts and history of our nation. Finally there is a go-to place to discover it all.”
The ABC Splash website launch is the latest win for Core, which has also recently picked up Scotts Australia, NSW Roads & Maritime Services and Virtus Health (IVFAustralia).

Great work CORE. This site is so easy to use and there is soooo much content to choose from. My 3 kids can consume content quicker than you can say it. I now don’t need to lie about how a rainbow is made (magic) or how cows make milk (using an app) I can actually teach them something.

The site was planned & built in-house at ABC. Thanks for the compliments though ‘Matt’! p.s. Is that you Annabel? 😉
