Havas wins Citroën account and pledges to bring it back as household name
Creative agency Havas Worldwide Sydney has won the Australian account for French car manufacturer Citroën.
The account was previously held by rival creative agency BWM.
“We are excited to be working with an iconic brand like Citroën. With the amazing DS line and the incredible stories behind the brand, we are chomping at the bit to mix up the category,” said Alex Carr, managing director of Havas Worldwide Sydney.
“There is a real appetite across theclient and agency to make this French icon a loved household name again.”
The appointment see Havas Worldwide take over responsibility for advertising, strategic planning, brochures and community management. The company did not disclose the size of the Citroën billings.
“We are delighted to be working with Havas. They give us the backbone of a global network whilst adding their own innovative ideas for the local market,” said John Startari, general manager, Citroën.
Can they ask the client to bring back cars made out of ‘tin’. Surely the timing is right.
