Energizer ties up with Westfield in campaign aimed at families
Energizer, the battery brand, has teamed up with Westfield to launch a promotion targeting families during the Easter school holidays.
Integrated marketing agency 30thirty and experiential agency 5Sense are this weekend launching in-store and experiential activity for Energizer in Westfield centres.
It will see families invited to play Wii games in front of large plasma screens with some 40 square metres in size. The screens revert to an Energizer TVC when games are not in progress.
A second component of the campaign is the launch of a competition, the Ultimate Family Wii Challenge, where families are invited to register online to represent their state in a play off to be held in Westfield Parramatta.
Energizer will fly the chosen family from each state to Westfield Parramatta to compete in front of a 26 foot digital screen and have the chance to win $10,000.
Looks like I will spending the weekend sharpening up my Wii skills for this one!

@Rosso
Draws attention to the ad… And if you have a Wii without rechargable batteries… You’ll know how quickly they chew through standard AAs…. Long lasting batteries + Wii is the first place to start the upsell from regular batteries to premiums.

Whoever does the “(Brand name), the (category) brand” starting sentence for almost every news piece needs a new opening line.
I’ll have a word with our news pixies, Ben…
