They will both report in to Fergus Kibble, the agency’s GM of Consumer & Brand.
Kibble said: “Penelope is one of the best consumer and brand PR practitioners in Australia, and brings a very impressive pedigree to Hill & Knowlton. She will lead our consumer lifestyle offer and bring fresh eyes and great experience to our team.”
Marcus Warner, Managing Director of Hill & Knowlton Australia, added: “Mandi’s appointment is significant and her expertise will help us continue to deliver best practice in social media and digital communications.”
Both started in their new roles today.
The appointments come as the agency restructures following the departure of CEO Michelle Hutton to Edelman and replacement by Marcus Warner.
Update: Meanwhile, Daemon Digital has revealed that it is replacing Bateson with Lachlan Hibbert-Wells – @warlach on Twitter. “We’re delighted to have Warlach on board with his wealth of experience. Warlach’s focus on changing modes of interaction and technology will bring further breadth to the team’ said Cat Douglas, Daemon’s business strategy director.
